Chef Kathy Morris's secret ingredient is ALOHA! "More love, the better" has been the driving force behind her passion for sharing island cuisine. Fresh ingredients from the local markets and farms is the essence of her flavorful dishes. Decades of blending aloha and fresh is her forte!
Before graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Kathy did her externship at the Mauna Kea Hotel and completely fell in love with the Big Island. Six months after graduating she returned to begin her culinary career and eventually became the Executive Chef of several resorts and fine dining establishments along the Kohala Coast. Stifled by the impersonal nature of resort dining and lack of menu creativity in fine dining, 15 years ago, she followed her heart to the kitchens of the luxury vacation homes along the shores of The Big Island of Hawaii tantalizing the taste buds of families and groups from around the world.
